Tell us what you are dealing with. We assess first and recommend the right response, which is sometimes cleaning alone.
SECTOR
You have cleaned the visible mould and the wall looks right. The question is what happens to the air and the surfaces you cannot easily reach before the room goes back into use.
Dry fogging is one answer. It is not always the right one. This page explains what it does, where it adds something, where it does not, and what we supply. If you need someone to deal with mould in a home or building, see our mould removal service.
A dry fogger breaks a liquid biocide into very small droplets and spreads them through a closed room, so the air and exposed surfaces are treated, including places a cloth cannot reach.
It does not lift growth or stains, so physical cleaning always comes first. It does not stop mould coming back if the moisture that caused it is still there. And it does not make a room sterile.
On many small jobs careful cleaning is enough and fogging adds cost without adding anything. We would rather tell you that than sell you a machine.
Ask about dry fogging
Worth considering when:
Probably not worth it when it is a single small patch that has been cleaned and dried, in an occupied room that cannot be sealed.
Ask if fogging suits your job
Re-entry is set for each job from the safety data sheet and the site conditions. It is not a standard number of minutes. How long the room is out of use depends on its size, the model and the product, and we give you a figure for your room before you commit.
Equipment. Automated dry foggers from the Cube range. Coverage depends on the model, so we give you the manufacturer specification for your room or building, not a headline figure.
Mould remover. No More Mould in a 330 ml spray for spot use and a 5 L refill for larger jobs. Safety data sheets on request.
Someone to do it. If you would rather not run the equipment yourself, we can carry out the fogging stage as a subcontract, or you can look at our mould removal service.
Ask about equipment
Will fogging stop the mould coming back? No. That depends on fixing the cause of the moisture. Fogging is not a substitute for that.
Can I tell my client the air is cleaner? We would not. We treat the air in the room during the process. We do not claim an air quality result.
Is it safe to use in a building people live in? People and pets stay out during treatment and until the re-entry period set for the job. Read the safety data sheet before use.
Do I still need to clean first? Yes, always.
How do I know the model is big enough? Send us the room or building size and we will confirm from the manufacturer specification.
We cannot promise that mould will not return. We do not diagnose or treat health conditions and we do not give medical advice. Test results apply only to the product, device and conditions tested. Fogging does not replace cleaning.
