Aridom Sanex is now working with Paqua, to help distribute its sustainable, carbon-free water purification system that provides safe, drinking water to areas of the world that might be off-grid or have an unreliable power supply. The PaquaVida water purification system can be used either as a temporary, rapidly deployed solution or as a long-term option to provide water that meets strict drinking water standards.
Environmentally-friendly alternative
The PaquaVida system can help organisations move away from using transported tanked water or replace existing drinking water systems with a more earth-friendly option which does not require the use of large quantities of hazardous chemicals.
The system also requires little energy and can be effectively run from solar power, wind turbines or a combination of both, making it ideal for remote or off-grid areas. In some locations, where there might be continuous power supply issues, an Uninterrupted Power Supply solution can be used to ensure that some or all of the system’s modules keep running for a short period of time, when there might be no power.
How does the PaquaVida Water Purification System work?
Instead of using hazardous chemicals to purify water from rivers or lakes, the water is disinfected using electrolysis and filtration. The innovative system, which can be monitored remotely, needs minimal maintenance with just the occasional top up of salt, for disinfection production.
Tailored to your needs
As the PaquaVida system is modular, systems can be customised a customer’s precise requirements, taking account of location, local infrastructure and required water flow rate. It will also consider source water quality and any issues that might need to be addressed, such as turbidity, heavy metal contamination and microbiological contamination.
The system specification will also take account of the required standards with which the water must comply, such as the European Drinking Water Directive 98/83 EC, country standards and/or industry specific requirements such as those in healthcare.

The water purification system has been used in healthcare, agriculture, food and drink, commercial and the humanitarian sectors - providing clean water, suitable for drinking, food production and sanitation purposes.
